ViaVia Buenos Aires is located in the historical neighborhood of San Telmo, in a 152-year-old house. In this district, which is one of the most typical areas of Buenos Aires, concerning it´s architecture, history and anecdotes. Today it gathers a market of antique dealers and you will be able to enjoy the Tango, at various places in this barrio (neighborhood).

Everybody who visits Buenos Aires should make a stop in San Telmo. ViaVia Bar & Hostel opened its doors in September 2003. Here you can enjoy the excellent food in the restaurant and overnight in one of the comfortable rooms upstairs in the hostel.

During your stay in Buenos Aires we can arrange anything you like to undertake. From Tango classes by professional dances, to bikes, cycle tours through the city of Buenos Aires, there are books available in the library during your stay, join one of the FREE Spanish classes in the restaurant or visit one of Buenos Aires' famous football games!

How to get to the ViaVia Hostel

From International Airport Ezeiza ('Ministro Pistarini')

The International Airport Ezeiza, 'Ministro Pistarini' is situated at about 30 kilometres of Buenos Aires. Here you can take a taxi taking you to San Telmo, in about 45 minutes in this beautiful neighborhood. A taxi from the International Airports will cost around 120 Arg. Pesos. Arrange your taxi at the office taxi boot inside in the arrives section in the airport. Somebody will walk with you to your cab and help you (when necessary) with your luggage.

Another option is take the Manuel Tienda Leon bus, which stops in front of the arrivals section at the International Airport. Buy your busticket at the boot and enter the first bus to arrive. Busses will leave every 30 minutes and bring you to the centre of the city in about 50 minutes. Costs for this service are 60 Arg. Pesos.

There also is a local bus, line 8, which takes you all the way from the International Airport to the ViaVia Hostel for only 2 Arg Pesos. The bus has a stop very close the hostel, however the journey lasts much longer, it will take you about 2 hours to arrive at the ViaVia Hostel.

From National Airport Aeroparque (Jorge Newberry)

Are you arriving from another domestic destination, then you will be most of the time land at the National Airport Aeroparque 'Jorge Newberry'. From here you can take a cab to the ViaVia Hostel which will cost around 50 Arg. Pesos. Always take a 'Radio Taxi' cab, and make sure the driver uses the taxi meter. It will take about 30 minutes to arrive at the hostel.

Manuel Tienda Leon also has a shuttle bus from the National Airport to the center of the city which will cost 22 Arg. Pesos. It will take you about 30 minutes to arrive to the centre, but more during rush hour. These shuttle busses are leaving every half an hour from the airport into the city.

There are various local busses stopping in front of the National Airport, one of those line 130 will leave you very close to the hostel, on av. Paseo Colon. From here you will only have to walk 3 blocks to arrive to the hostel. This ride will take about 40 minutes and costs 1,25 Arg. Pesos.
